It is easier.
It needed to be! I wonder how many people completed the Forza 1 career mode :) It wasn't helped by the bug whereby even if you were leading a championship, if you didn't win the last race in the series, you didn't win the championship regardless of your points total.

Im definetely bored of the career mode, feel like the only challenge is to stay awake on a track ive done at least 10 other times. Online mode is great fun though.

They don't introduce the variations of the tracks quickly enough, thats the problem.
Do the variations occur more after level 24 then? I'm at level 24 and the repetition is crushingly boring.

CPU cars on hardest in arcade, no aids on etc using a controller, I can thrash them easy. ?
Arcade is just a bonus mode really, career is the real game.

I'm on lvl 23 and still enjoying it a great deal. As said in the above posts, I do think they use the short versions of the tracks far too much early on in the game rather than letting you loose on the real ones, and of course it needs more tracks, but I don't think it's too easy or boring. With the ideal line thingy off, and TC and STM off and the AI on hard I think the difficulty is spot on. Also difficulty varies greatly depending on whether you upgrade to the point where you can annihilate the opposition, or just try to beat them honestly with equal machinery.

For me what makes it fun is the challenge of mastering all the different cars, something which has more meaning the more realistic a game is, which is why I get a lot out of something like Forza 2.

I won't get bored with a game like this. Driving simulators flick my switch like what RPG's or adventure games do for others.

People have been complaining about having to do lap after lap of Laguna Seca or wherever, is it just me or is trying to get the 'perfect' lap race after race the true challenge and return factor?

Thats definately part of the reason im still enjoying it. Though i wouldnt mind a few more tracks i find that even racing the same track many times isnt repetitive with a different car each time. The challenge presented by each track varies depending on the car i choose, whether its a 200bhp fwd car or a700bhp muscle car the variety of cars and tuning setups changes my approach and helps to keep things fresh.

Im around there too, early 20s, but I've read reviews that mention I think it was something like 40 tracks (inc variations).

Totally agree, and as much as i like to get in the perfect lap, i enjoy trying to leave enough space between myself & the ai for the final lap so i can play it a bit "risky" and add some elements of surprise myself should i go wrong :)

Really really not bored of this :D loving it!

And my Swedish flag Saab has sold 10x on AH :)

I think any game can become a little boring if you play it too much,, i like to have a variation of diff types, and flit between them:)
