Forza has the same type of race several times over, Im in the lead by the first lap and then its just like F1. A procession.
Just needs a bit more variety IMO
Then stay in your "Class" and stick the AI Difficulty on maximum and then try it. Try racing the cars to the class specs, not a full blown heavy hitter in the American Iron section where youcan run Custom speced items against stock items.
Pick races in SP where you can only race within your class as see how it goes. Especially in places like The 'Ring and in cars like the GT40, AC Cobra Jet. They are a handful at the best of times, but when the AI is ramped up, and your cars are ALL THE SAME, see how much variety that gives you. You'll be doing the races over and over again until you can at least pull a place or win.
Try using a D or C class car that fits into a B class or even an A class race, which means you have to tone down the wheels, tyres and airodynamics in order to stay in the class.
Sure, you can build monsters, but what's the point if you can only race (operative word being 'race') then against cars that you'll leave behind at the start line. There's no 'challenge' in that at all. The challenge is when they are all evenly pitted against each other.
So race in the Porsches in the R Classes starting (on the ring which is just great btw) at the Lower end (R4's) and work your way up to the R1. And uin the R1's with the AI set to max, tell me it's easy and I'll buy a plane ticket and come sit on your head (jk actually).
Come on ppl, are you gamers or just wet blankets. There are those who love the challenge to race against an even field. If you want to clip times off to get the best lap ties in the leaderboards,
By all means use your best car for that track (class specific) and race much slower cars, but you still have to deal with traffic as you work your way through so you can drop that time to work your way up theglobal leaderboards.
And you'll be doing it again, again, again and again until you trim 100th off which could move you up a hundred places on the leader board. That's what "Racing games" are about. Not hitting the nitros and blurring past everyone at a million MPH. That's just fan car racing, not Simulated racing.
Get inthere and have some fun, and work on those times, Here's a link for my cars I've painted (
http://oxcgn.com/forza-motorsport-2/forza-2-vehicle-image-page/), and if anyone wants a duplicate, either tuned or just painted, let me know and I can set you up with one. The Red Mustang hangs on like grim death, especially at Mapleleaf.
The Lexus Police 360 "flys" in A and higher classes as well.
