Forza 4

I'm not saying it's really a bad thing, it just nice to know that you're making progress in event list while you're going through World Tour. And for the folk going for achievements in games, this is an issue that needs to be brought up.

Got this on Friday, finally got to put a few hours in today as I had a day off booked.

So far so good, playing on medium difficulty with all assists and racing lines switched off as I used on Forza3. Think I'll increase the intelligence of the AI though as it's pretty easy on medium tbh.

Why are people moaning about the world tour and your progress? Doesn't seem vastly different to Forza3 in terms of progression from what I can see.

i think if anythin there as more to do in forza 3 than in forza 4, come on turbo get those assists off and on expert like the rest of us :D

Didn't mean to come across as moaning. Doing all the events in Forza 3 was a mammoth task and as far as I'm aware all season mode events contributed to them. I suppose the reason I brought it up was that the latter half of season 10 I decided to mainly use my R3 Ford GT. I was doing lots of R3 events thinking I was also checking them off in event list, but only a handful of races had actually been completed in event list.

For any completionists out there it could add another 10 or so hours of game time to do all the events depending on how you approach World Tour(not that this is a bad thing if you love the game). This is just an observation for people wanting to do every event, that a lot of events in World Tour do not contribute to it. It would just be a case of going back to check that the event in world tour is an actual event in the list and then proceeding on.

Anyone mind adding me for some clean forza races (did ask in the club thread, but i guess this is a better place :) ) ? At my age i cant handle all the rage i get with racing online with randoms anymore!

nice one! now get on expert or is it professional i cant remember...

one thing thats annoyin me atm is in drift, normally you all set off diff times so you have some space to drift and no bumping but you get people who finish when your still halfway round your lap so yu then end up with a DNF and a hell of a lot worse points, at the start of it all people where waiting at line for people to finish...

not really, you could check what cars or tracks you wanna do and do them in campain as it where or just sit there do all the events and then go through campain lol, pain i know but if you want 1000g then thats what you will haev to do but also there is the connect achive as well....

Yeah I found it strange that doing events in world tour would not also complete them in the events list, maybe a bug? As I would have thought it would work the same as FM3.

no if you look at event list you have to use a class car on a certain track like use a class E car on Suzuka East Circuit on Japaneese world tour but if you want to use a R3 in japaneese world tour you will have to race on Suzuka Full Circuit to get the tick so not every race is a tick if that makes sence.

there is the ferrari 458 italia on one track that is a Tick but i cant think what track it is, just look in the event list.

iv now started to look before i start a new event if there is a event that needs to be done to get the tick.

Just snapped up a Shelby Daytona for 1 million on the AH. Should I have waited to get it cheaper?! I just saw the 4 million discount and instantly bought it. :p Luckily I picked the 330 P4 as a level reward! I'm gonna really start trawling the AH for some bargains, but sometimes it's really slow and sluggish to scroll through the cars. :(

yeah i was on there other night by the time i had scrolled it had sold or expiered so abit stupid really if you ask me lol

Am I honestly the only person who just goes to world tour, sees what track I'm on, chooses a car I feel like racing and picks the most interesting race it offers?

Of course not. :) That's what I did through the whole of World Tour apart from the latter half of season 10. If I had known however that World Tour randomly generates different variations of tracks and settings that differ to the completion of event list(something I want to achieve as I did not in Forza 3), I would have checked the event list first. That's all I'm saying...
