Forza 4

Next bit of DLC will be the Porsche pack, I think, which I'm regarding as pretty essential.

What's the deal with RUF? I read all the advertising brief and it mentioned nothing of them using a Porsche body even though any idiot can see that's what it is.

I don't get why Porsche isn't on the game. If I owned a car company I'd be paying mega bucks to T10 to make my car one of the best on the game.

EA had the exclusive license to use Porsche in driving games, hence why they still appear in NFS etc. EA wouldn't allow Turn 10/MS to get in on the license.

RUF are a tuning house who use Porsche cars as a basis for their own cars. It's done at a pretty low level, like starting with a Porsche chassis and working up from there. It's similar to Alpina and BMW, if you're familiar with that. Turn 10 could use RUF cars, but that was as close as they could get to Porsche.

Now EA have allowed Turn 10 to use the license, so Turn 10 are releasing something like 30 Porsche cars, a bunch more events and a bunch of achievements.

And now people (not you) are whining about how all that content should have been in from day 1... Well, yeah, it should have, sure, but that's EA's fault, not Turn 10's.

I got the season pass. Even if I don't use all the cars I'm sick of seeing loads of skodas driving about in online races.

What Skodas? There's none in the game. Unfortunately.

It's a VW Bora. ;)

You don't need to buy the DLC to see the car models correctly. Download the free taster car from each pack and it automatically adds the correct models for all the cars in that pack.

EA's fault or their right, I assume they made a fair bit of money out of it? If anything it is Porsche's fault for signing exclusive rights to anyone, let alone EA.

There were Porsche's in Forza 3, no?

Yep, so I guess something changed between 2009 and 2011 in terms of who had access to what.

Woops missing an o there. Cone Killer reward car is the 2007 GT500 it's a pity they couldn't of given the VIP's that and the rest of us the R34 MINE'S. I don't really need another GT500 over and above the 2010.

Do they do a unicorn challenge every month? Couldn't do the cone one, however I think I would be able to do a different event.

Yeah, there's one each month. I won a Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale a couple of months back for beating a particular time around Road Atlanta in an MX-5.

Who is DReeder? I'd like to know if you tuned the clio v6 for the suzuka montly rival. I managed to get in the number 2 spot but I have to shave about a second off to beat you and I found the clio to be very loose, i wondered if you've made it more sticky.

Im Dreeder, I have now shared the Clio in the club garage. Its upgraded for weight and grip but I didn't do any tuning, i never really tune my cars for normal track use, i just lower the suspension a touch sometimes. I only play with tuning on drag rivals when you need to modify the gear ratios and suspension settings to help it keep traction.

Just managed to set a new time on the Cone Killer, knocking a whole 6seconds off my previous best, putting me 1.8seconds clear of Matt Trakker. :)

You're clearly just a better racer than me then :p I had a go in the clio, not really sure if it's better than mine or not and don't have the time to do some good laps. Do the tires wear away with the laps i do, i.e. will the tyres be worse after 6 laps than they were at 3 laps?

I always like the idea of turning off abs but i just have no control with my left finger like I do with my right. When I've got some money I'm going to get a wheel, I think this would be more fun and satisfying.
