Forza 4

When is the new dash update with the Kinect voice intergration coming.
I think Kinect might be pretty good on FM4 but hope the headtracking is better implemented in the half assed usage of it in GT5.

Do like the idea of voice for menus though...
 
I am having a hard time deciding whether to get this or Dark Souls.

Forza 4 only having five new tracks puts me off a bit and it hasn't been long since I played Demon's Souls. Arggggh, what do I do?
 
Pre-ordered the LCE.

This will be my first Forza game, although I've played 2 and 3 at friends houses numerous times, I've always been a GT person (and still am really).

I just love driving games, I want the car customisation in Forza which is missing from GT and I generally just wanted a 360 to sit alongside my PS3 anyway.

Really am not keen on this unicorn car/pre order car business though. There is literally no way for me to get the BMW 1M for example, since the retailer that has that as their allocated pre-order car, doesn't have the LCE. I think that whole system sucks really.

I like the idea of uniquely painted or tuned cars being rare, special and limited. It's just the idea of normal cars that really should be in the game anyway being exclusives is annoying.

You will be able to get a 1M, they'll be for sale in the Auction House (member2member) for sure. Same with the other cars I would have thought.
 
still no sign of an email from game, but they have charged the card, which is a good sign.

however, they charged it £59.99, not £57.49 as they should have done (i used £2.50 of points)

hmm, looks like it just didnt bother taking my points off my account, because i now have £8.86 of points, and i know i spent what i could points wise on FM4, and certainly didnt get over £5 worth of points from it

pre-ordered from busters.. shame about the delivery tho "aim to dispatch on release date" so at best ill get it 18th or later.. x[
 
The station for games has charged me but no dispatch note yet. Although I'm not that bothered because I'm going away tomorrow and not back until Saturday afternoon so I'm hoping it will be waiting for me when I get in!

The the official line. I'd take it with a pinch of salt - I've had previous pre-orders from them a couple of days early.
 
Been told i have been charged for my pre order :D

Just been playing on the demo aswell and it seems good from what i have played, just getting used to controls being in different places to how i had it setup on forza 3
 
Got an email half an our ago saying my LCE has been dispatched. Whether they've actually posted it today or not though is another matter.

I also find it a bit iffy that they've charged me £64.99 (so £5 extra for express delivery), yet it says it's been shipped using free delivery. Might have to contact them if there's no express delivery stamp on the package when I receive it (though I might reconsider if I receive it tomorrow or Wednesday).

I've not been online on xbox live for about 500 days I think :eek:

Didn't realise it was that long ago. Lots of fun times doing oval racing, pratting about on the gymkhana warehouse track and some actual proper racing sometimes too!
