Would take some time to write out a proper comparison list of the two games, but there are lots of places where each game is superior to the other.
Physics isn't a clear cut thing, neither game is completely superior to the other in this area.
The same can be said for online play, single player, AI, customisation, track selection, car selection and graphics.
For example, GT offers paints that Forza users can only dream of, as well as the ability to paint wheels pure colours (most importantly pure white - a feature missing from Forza for many years now and still not added in F4 despite a huge amount of requests). Despite this, F4 obviously has the superior overall customisation options, since there is no livery editor in GT5 and only limited body kit and wheel options.
Both games are great, neither game is as good as they should be and I would love both of them to mix their strengths together and be released on the PC as one ultimate subscription based online racing game, because I'd be completely hooked to that and so would literally every other racing game fan around.
