Got this for christmas. It's really good, and the rivals mode is an awesome addition. It does seem a little samey as Forza 3, but perhaps as i progress it will start feeling a bit different.

As far as I'm concerned there's no single player of note. The new single player is rivals mode (need more events in this Turn 10!) and of course, online multiplayer is fun too, although best with friends who aren't morons and all want to have some sensible clean races.

I bought my collectors edition in the first 2 weeks it was out and still haven't opened it. Now my question is will I get the monthly DLC free or do I still have to pay for it?

The collectors edition does not include "Free" DLC. You have to pay for it.

Either :
1) per car
2) per pack
3) Season Pass (all DLC)

Wow the new consoles handle the unbalanced Forza discs so much better. My old Elite with a BenQ\Lite-On sounded like a chainsaw.

Bought some absolute bargains on the Auction House this week, but I've just been looking through the cars i haven't got and I've a long way to go... 117cars, 14 of which are UniCorns and 3 are Pre-Order cars which i cannot purchase in the AH, the remaining 100 cost 123.8million combined. I've no duplicates at all and have Affinity with everyone up to at least level4 so upgrades are free.

Time to get my Affinity achievement I'm currently at 35 of 50 and its 50kXP per level. Im also now over 70% through the BucketList achievement.

I've got some Christmas cash and I'm planning to pick up a headset (x31) and also wondering about the Microsoft Speed Wheel. What's the verdict? Have they fixed it up a bit - I remember people saying it was a pain as it has no shoulder buttons and can't be remapped.

I'm not convinced most people are playing much sadly. No more race nights, near zero activity in rivals mode.

Those that are still playing seem to just be achievement hunting in single player.

Very disappointing compared to GT5's online play too. There are things in Forza 4 that I love and wish GT5 had, but the game has less players and of those that do play, they seem to have a poor mentality when it comes to clean/competitive racing online that isn't a time trial.
