Forza 6 announced

Ay, i have one of them i think. Thought it was only for the PS3 though?

Sure i bought it about 6 years ago and it was only £80 when one of the GT's come out for the PS3. Will have to pop up to the garage later and see if i kept it or not.

You who are all absolutely messing your pants over this game, are you playing with steering wheel and pedals?

I just finished the demo and nearly fell into a coma. I could only see this game being awesome with a wheel and pedals.

So do you lot play with a wheel and pedals? Is it possible to get a decent wheel and pedals for about £100?

I'm using a controller on Forza 6 and it's so much better than Forza 5 with a controller. Miles ahead. No doubt about that.

Look up "Cronus Max" that will work.

Project cars looks terrible in comparison.

you're kidding right. FM6 has jaggies by the bucket load, no dynamic lighting, no dynamic weather, no dynamic day/night cycle. Project Cars is a very good looking game. Forza 6 is good though, much better than FM5, although handling seems quite heavy this time around.

This is with phone camera, but Poject Cars is very very good visually

I don't quite understand all these visual comparisons? It's obvious Project cars is going to look better graphically as it runs on more powerful hardware (PC, PS4) but why compare against those platforms? Wouldn't it be more suitable to compare Forza 6 to Project Cars on on XBOX One? And if Project Cars still looks better than Forza 6 on the Xbox One, well then it's a given as it runs 900p resolution and possibly an unsteady frame rate from what I've heard? Someone will need to clarify.

Let be honest, you only notice the graphics changes for the first couple of hours, then it settles into being normal.

I'm more interested in a constant frame rate, character and longevity than "new shiny". Substance over Style please.

Better go to specsavers :)

I am comparing it to PCars on the PS4 though, I haven't played the Xbone version but I know it wasn't supposed to be as good. I'm not saying Forza looks bad though (although the indy track is shocking) but it looks really pixelated, low res (even if its not), the lighting isn't as good as Project Cars, it doesn't have dynamic weather etc.

It does run smooth though and has a polished presentation, I'll no doubt sink lots of hours into it but it certainly imo is not impressive in the visuals department. Either that or I was expecting more.

It's only fair to compare like for like, Project CARS on PC will look better of course. Unless you have an AMD card and have to notch down the settings...

The Xbox One version of project cars hasn't been well received at all. This is a better product.

I take it you've turned off the braking assist and TC/STM? I'm running with ABS only and Normal steering and it feels much better than 5, and the cars feel much more alive and responsive.

And your proof is a maxed out PC version?

few things off except abs once i was on the rain track. I just dont get sims with a controller anymore.

Have i got you on xbox?

Really enjoying it all over again, I was not liking 5 that much despite fanboying 2, 3, and 4, but this feels and plays great, seems GT and Forza both had a bad 5th game in my opinion, buth onwards and upwards, loving this all over again :)

I play with thrustmaster tx and its awesome! But that wheel is over £200! Nothing decent for £100 sadly.

I think they forgot to enable AA in this, do you think they know?

It probably does have some kind of AA but AA on consoles is a performance killer so its probably very low implementation...I don't think it looks as bad as forza 5 though.

Looks very nice on my sony w829 in game mode :)

They dynamically alter the graphics detail based on load. What would you prefer - 8 car races with AA or 24 cars with a bit less? Rivals mode will likely have most eye candy turned on.
