Forza 6 announced

They're not loud at all for me, all I can hear are the other cars for the majority of the time. Also finding it really annoying that I can't turn off the custom liveries for my opponents like you could in Horizon 2, it's distracting having to race against a load of awfully customised cars

zing zing, drift build!

Engine sounds are spot on for me, I play in car view though so don't know if that makes a difference? You can definitely turn custom liveries off, one of the first things I did. In the option's somewhere, possibly pre race menu?

Found it thanks! I looked everywhere I could think of, found it in the Drivatar options eventually. :p

Been doing some B class multiplayer. I dont get how some people have crazy fast cars compared to mine, despite being in the same class?

Im using an S3 Sedan, quick upgrade to B class and im getting dusted off by 97 Civics in every way. A guy in a Lancia 037 destroyed everyone.

I get that those who are using wheels/pedals will likely be far better than pad users but all those people cant be on wheels?!

I'm faster with pad

Have you seen me in B Class multi? I was in there all weekend

Possibly, what car were you running?

I tried a few different models - civic type r, even a crazy mk1 golf 4x4 turbo :D Still nothing. I noticed one guy in a GT86 that must have been tuned very well it was on rails around a wet nurburgring

wheel/pedals make the game way harder/more realistic :) I could fly around the tracks with a pad, sideways if I wanted to.. now with a wheel it takes A LOT of work to get a clean lap around the 'ring for example! :)

What wheel are you using?

I'm half way through forza 5, gonna complete that then get forza 6 and the new logitech g920 when it launches next month.

I thought the wheel would be faster for accelerating out of corners as you can get a more gradual turn (or at least is easier then compared to the twitchyness of an analogue stick).

I would NOT get the new logitech, it is exactly the same as the old g25/g27 inside so it's old tech, all gears, loud and FFB Is very weak/bad compared to competition :) I have had a few wheels over the years -;

logitech driving force pro
driving force GT
g27

and now thrustmaster TX/458, which is brilliant bit of kit! the FFB etc is just next level compared to logitech offerings :)

pedals are cack but you can buy adaptors to use g27 pedals for example or any of the higher end thrustmaster stuff.

it is better because you can be smoother, but it takes longer for you to go from one direction to the other for example so correcting oversteer requires way more work and speed than it is with controller :)

It's difficult to tell without comparing them back to back on an Xbox running Forza - the FFB is dependent on the programming/API as much as the mechanicals.

I'm perfectly happy with the G27 (I'm the third owner - all via the MM here). It gives me a right workout after a 25 minutes wrestling touring cars on iRacing, even after years of abuse!

G27 added helical gearing over the G25, The G920/G29 has a hall sensor for the steering instead of optical to improve long term reliability. It's a good wheel, although the price is a bit steep considering it's missing the shifter.

Thanks for both inputs. How much would your thrustmaster TX/458 with good pedals set someone back grudas?

Reviews for the g92 (the ps4 version released earlier) seemed to be positive...

Don't get me wrong, it is not bad but thrustmaster is in a different league :) I had no problems playing with g27 but when I decided that I want a wheel for xbone I got the TX and tbh the feel/feedback etc is just next level - both PC and Xbone, so I'm not comparing a single game in that sense :)

the reviews will be positive because even now, the g25/27 are GOOD wheels but when TX/458/t300 cost pretty much the same amount, it's hard to go for logitech! :)

I'd suggest getting the wheel alone with stock pedals, see how you like it :)

Thurstmaster TX is the wheel I have with an adaptor I got from US + my old G27 pedals which are awesome IMO and the GTE rim addon.

wheel with pedals is around £250-£300.. often goes out of stock due to the fact that everyone buys them haha.

Mostly my "Realtree Camo" Subaru Impreza, honestly impressed with the standard of driving in multiplayer hoppers..yeah the odd bash and smash (you soon learn who and avoid them) however largely good clean racing.

Racing in the wet is bloody incredible, talk about intense !
