Forza 6 announced

There's one feature that's make or break for me buying this. Remember in f3 & 4 where if you set a clean lap on any game mode you rose up the global leaderboard? This how I play it to try and get as high as possible across the global l leaderboard. If anyone knows (or cares :P) if this returns please post up!

If you mean for a specific class on a specific track leaderboard, that's been in all the motorsport series games iirc.

If its an overall leaderboard from every track and class combined, i'm not sure.

I'm doing the same, really enjoying revisiting the old Forza games tbh

I really enjoyed forza 3 and 4. They are excellent games , I only purchased the 360 to play forza. Very good games, and 4 was so well balanced I felt.

I'm currently keeping an eye on Xbox prices and potential exclusives I could use to justify one if I see a decent enough deal.. I know forza 5 wasn't as well regarded but I fell forza 6 is going to be something really good as I think the developers are putting a lot right that went wrong with 5.

Keeping my eyes open for a decent price or see if an Xbox slim is announced it something... You never know..

Flying tyres yo...

I don't care how it looks, it's how it plays and the soul of the game. Minor differences in graphics are for fanboi flame wars. Past the first hour of gameplay you stop noticing the new shiny graphics engine and concentrate on the experience.

This is it for me....i never understand the need for multiple versions of the same car in different liveries etc either, i use in car views so never see my own car except in replays.

I bet if i ever looked I'd also realise that about 90% of the driving i do is in about 5% of the cars i own.

Though to be fair I am fairly odd, when people talk about the story lines in games i have no idea what they're talking about, i tend to skip intros and cut scenes, i don't need to know why I'm killing people etc, just that i am...

Have you considered joining the IS? ;)

But I'm the same with Forza, I don't care about the paintwork and although I drive a wide variety of cars, I usually settle on a few and drive the most in those. I'm a racer, not a painter/mechanic ;)

But there are those where the painting or the tweaking of individual cars performance, even having the same car many times each with different tweaks really makes the game. And they're the ones that make up the hardcore fanbase.

I'm still undecided on this. If I don't get this, it will be the first Forza I've not bought :(

FM5 wasn't good. Half finished, features arbitrarily removed and definitely no good for league racing. A good chunk of the community that invested a lot of time and effort into FM2/3/4 bought new consoles on that basis then just walked away from a bad game.

The Forza hardcore among my gaming friends are mostly iRacers on PC nowadays.

Some of the signs are that FM6 is still dumbed down to appeal to casual gamers, but as long as you can turn it off and it feels like a Forza then there's hope yet.

The carlist has me very tempted - great potential for BTCC racing for example. It's just that FM5 is sat there, saying "Don't waste £60 on this, they'll have you over again!"
