Forza 6 announced

First impressions are very good. Graphics seem similar, maybe a mild improvement in the amount of track detail but as a tradeoff there doesn't seem to be as much AA as in Forza 5.

The handling is a huuuuge change! It's a lot more similar to Forza 3 and 4. The cars feel far more grippy and way less floaty compared to Forza 5. With the assists off it's much much easier with the controller than Forza 5 was.

Also using the controller with ABS off is far easier. In Forza 5 you didn't get use the full travel of the trigger for the brakes (half way on the trigger gave pretty much full brakes) however in this it seems much more linear and easier to modulate.

I've played the intro races and once you've turned off the assists it plays quite well.

I'm not sure if it's just that I've been spoilt with the graphics of Project Cars on the PS4 but this (although it is 1080p) seems to be a lot lower with a pixelated look. It's smooth but not nearly as good as project cars.

I love Forza games though, the only thing I've seen so far that I'm not sure about is the Mods, ie some that are permanent and some that will give you a boost for one race ie extra grip or moving forward on the grid, don't see the point in that.

I've had to turn it off after getting into the rivals section. Found myself going round and round and round.

Two weeks to wait now I guess!

Ohh yea don't get me wrong...the puddles are...actually, really impressive...they do feel they have "depth" when you hit them.

I enjoyed the demo, with all assists off and the controller set how i have it in FM5 it seems very similar to FM5 which is great.

The Corvette in the rain was excellent, the puddles really do make a difference to the racing line.

Shame they didn't add tuning for the intro races, the auto upgrade was terrible on the RX7, the S2000 was ok though.

Roll on next Thursday :)
