I've watched 3 streams 1 on 980ti and two on 1070, they all had loads of stutter and dips under 40fps at 1080p.

At the same time though I've watched youtube videos at 4k on a 980ti hitting 50-60fps just fine, I'm confused at the huge difference at the minute. I guess we'll see tonight after midnight

Gotta say pretty disappointing performance so far, it's a great game but man there's zero reason for the erratic frames and dips into the 30's in towns. Just reading neogaff this morning, a lot of issues and poor performance even on titans and 1080's. http://m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=1282718&page=1

Im also picking up a few common things, disabling HT in bios will give an extra 20% frames lol. Ahhh this wonderful gaming in 2016 period we are going through....high end pc not even holding 60fps and having to disable things like Hyperthreading. It's taking the shine off things for me a little, let's hope the devs don't do a Sean Murray. Hopefully there's room to optimise like Apex, really hope they don't give the pc the cold shoulder.

yeah just reading about the VIP stuff.

Also, what the hell is wrong with the photo mode on PC?? have you seen the state of it, it looks totally low res and blurry as hell. Thought i'd go and mess with some pics whilst they sort the VIP issue out, was shocked to see how poor the photo mode is. It looks nowhere near that bad on XB1.
 
The game looks fantastic Josh, the visuals are breathtaking, the sound are amazing, the customisation it's all there. Just a few issues at the moment for a lot of people, brute force of PC should be destroying this game in all honesty, but it's not. They were bigging up Apex performance, and whilst I wasn't stupid enough to think in a stunning open world environment I'd be hitting 100fps+ like Apex, I was optimistic of keeping a solid locked beautiful 60fps. But no, sadly not, in towns and Festivals it drops in the 40's and even 30's. Weirdly out in the forests with all the gorgeous tress and shadows, I hit 60 to 80fps no problem with Ultra and 1440p. Weird.

I think ill just race in the forest and more so the outback lol..can hit 90fps out there lmao.

mate, the more and more bad releases on PC happen, the more I'm getting interested in Scorpio and HDR OLED late next year. Might just chin off PC gaming completely, it winds me up these days to much.
 
Ive got it playing pretty nice now also. Get the old drops here and there in the cities and some of the race starts with 12 cars, but it's generally up above the 60fps mark. Just had to turn a few things down from Ultra, not using msaa now either, having to roll with fxaa for now until some fixes, but just wanna enjoy it now. Disabling HT in bios was huge, as was disabling XBOX Game DVR thingy. Also helps not having any internet windows or apps open in the background.

Gutted im missing some of the VIP features, but hey ho, going to cruise and take it all in.

There's no denying the beauty of this thing, sunsets and sunrise are just epic it has to be said. The way the clouds roll in or out is stunning.

have you not been watching the official forums, reddit, Neogaff etc. Hundreds and hundreds of people all commenting on the same problems, disappointments etc, it's not just one problem for one person.

Like I said previous page, Turning off HT, disabling Game DVR, not having anything running in the background are must do's. I kid you not, almost doubled my fps in many places.

Great game underneath, it's very early, lets just hope they don't turn a blind eye.
