Forza Horizon 3 just shown at E3

So played a couple of hours, mixed feelings at the moment.

Performance on my stock 970 is not particularly great, maybe it's the hardware but I reckon it should do better than it is. It randomly gets really bad where I have to restart the game, I had that issue with apex too.

G27 issues are disappointing, brake pedal feels like an on off switch at the moment.

It's hung on black screens for me a couple of times and once on loading screen forcing restarts so its been far from smooth sailing, hoping for some updates in the very near future will improve things.

The races and random driving I did do were pretty fun and it sounds good too which is always nice, forza usually does!

I've noticed GeForce Experience has added FH3 to their list of games now. I just used the optimised settings for my 970 GTX and it couldn't even keep 30fps, was like a slide show; needless to say, reverted back to my own settings. Shame, it's usually pretty good at lazily setting up your graphics.

Hey guys I'd like to join the OCUK club please, gamertag is Brokkah30

Sorry I have no idea how to send a friend request on Windows!

How are you guys locking your FPS at 48?

The disabling core 0 affinity trick seems to have done wonders here, nice even load though all 8 threads now....

You can set it under the video options its called frame rate :)

Does this affinity trick need to be done each time you run the game?

No 48 fps lock in my options either unlimited fps or 50 :)

But I'm having no problems anyway with my 1080 on ultra since i disabled HT will try that core thing now tho see if it does anything.

Enjoying the game with the pad but disappointed that my G27 isn't supported that well. I know its an arcade racer but i dont see the point saying it supports the G27 when it feels like you're driving on ice with limited feed back.

Ill stick to the pad until its sorted or a decent setup is discovered :)

Running it with the settings from Geforce experiece (ultra), unlocked frame rate feels fine for me so far not sure why the need to lock it?

I've had 3-4 hours gameplay using GTX 970 at stock with a 2500K @ 4.2 and had no issues what so ever using the auto detect settings for the graphics.

I'm really not sure what to do now. Maybe going to reinstall nVidia drivers (again) and see if it's that.

The difference between my experience from Friday through to Monday to tonight is significant to the point where I can't even play the game now. Just lowered everything to low and was getting mid 20 FPS in Surfers Paradise.

I'm baffled to say the least.
