Its the start of my OCUK themed car, will update it when I get further into the design;

I've gone for a classic (remake of one of my Forza2 skins). Will get it finished by the weekend.. unfortunately I'm not at uni any more, so can't invest the same amount of time into the paint shop.

Any good tutes on recreating text? I might settle for something more organinc to paint first as that'll be much easier than trying to recreate an accurate font.

Overtaking some fellow S2000's, straight up the middle, getting it slightly sideways in the process...turned out to make a nice gradient as well, black to white:

To be honest.. I didnt see much advancement over the FM2 painter for the bit of time I spent last night.

No text tool?! Can't load a manufacturer decal into the vinyl specific zone? Can't scale groups in x and y?

I would suggest the reason for that is to prevent the easy creation of car skins that have rude or derrogatory text on them. People would quite happily put hate slogans etc on if all they had to do was type them. Creating them out of shapes on the other hand...

It's a PITA, but you can see their reasoning.

Same as the old one, theres still letters.. it would just have been an advancement to have a proper text tool..

Memphis makes a good point though. Some ruining it for all.

I'd have also liked something a bit more advanced by way of cutting out shapes. Say you want to create a thicker O. You have to draw a circle with the car colour in the middle.. but that colour doesnt always match nicely.. and you cant cut the centre out to have the metallic paint behind.

A cut/delete selection tool would be handy. Made a Nismo logo yesterday but couldn't get it perfect easily without cutting corners and overlaying layers of the car colour. :/
