Forza or GT5

I'm kind of comparing between these two, of whether to get a xbox 360 or ps3(not to start a war or anything).

I used to like Gran Turismo, but they havent changed or improved or fixed anything that were problems with the original. Like races being easy you can tune up and over them, bumper cars, still no proper damage(they havent done it right). Its not really a racing competitive game(except maybe for times). I cannot believe the shadows or the alpha pixelation in the rain. Its like they want to make it as inaccesible as possible.

Probably still will get a ps3 though, it has some more exclusive games like Heavy Rain, Uncharted, etc, I just wish someone would do a proper real driving sim(fix everything Gran Turismo cant be bothered to).

Forza 3 all the way for me, I was left disappointed with GT5 and went back to Forza fairly quickly. I still have the odd blast on GT5, but I always go back to Forza.

Is the whole of Forza 3's career mode done through that retarded calender layout?

I picked it up the other day and played about an hour or so, I have to say I'd have preferred to be able to choose my own events instead of just having a selection of 2 at a time or whatever.

You can chose any event you like, simply chose 'event list' rather than 'season play' in the main menu.

Love both, get both..

FM3 Really stands out for things like Hotlapping and the whole totally coherent and global way everything is linked to the leaderboards etc, very polished.

GT5 stands out for the pure fun factor of SP, and B-Spec is another 'dimension' some may enjoy...

But can I still rank my driver/car up that way?

I liked the layout that Forza 2 had.

Yes, it's the same events as you get in season play but you can just chose to do them in any order you like. You still gain money/xp etc in the same way.

I actually like the 'season play' feature of Forza 3, it encourages you to play a nice variety of cars and tracks whilst playing through the career.

neither, F1 2010 :D

nah, only joking. If I had to pick one it would be Forza. Played GT5 but didn't get on with it. I think it's a game you really need to knuckle down with and spend time on. Forza for me just seems a bit more fun.

Each to their own though. Why not buy both, see which you like and then sell the other one.....or just keep it :D

I'd have to say Forza 3 but I've only played GT5 on my mates PS3 + wheel where as I've owned Forza 3 360 + wheel.
The reason i say Forza 3 is just down to feel whilst driving but having said Forza 3 the one thing that really boils my **** is no matter how many cars they put in the game the same cars appear on the leader boards, This one thing Killed the game for me stone dead.
I want to be able to race all sorts of cars & they be capable of winning not be handicapped because i won't use the same old car time & time again.
So being honest i can only comment on feel whilst driving & that goes easily to Forza 3, As for the game & online racing side of it I'll leave that for others to comment.
