Forza2 Release date & Track list

Downloadable cars don't really interest me tbh. i mean a car is pretty much a car. Though downloadable track could be good. Espcially if its a whole new circuit with lots of configurations.

lol thats a funny thing to say but I think a whole new track is more effort for them to map out then a car. Their previews are very impressive especially if the cars sound as good as the previews

As we all know in FM2 we will be able to swap drivetrains meaning we can make a RWD car an AWD or FWD and ect. This will add so much to the game, the way cars handle, your strategy and will completely change your tuning decisions - It wil also make great comaprisons to which drivetrain is betyer. It will be amazing.

Look at F355 how many tracks had that and it was a classic.

Its how the game plays and how each car can feel or make the gameplay different that matters.

Take even an F1 game it has what 17 tracks? Still i bet very few people play complete seasons and prefer to pick from their favourite 3-5 tracks most of the time they play, eh am i right or wrong?

right ;)

Definetly agree there and 355 has been mentioned in the development notes for forza I noticed :)
Monza was always my favourite on f1gp due to it having the highest average speed of any regular f1 track (at the time, 10+ years ago) I thought it was too long but my brother just played nurenburg on gt4

Good that some of you seem to agree and i think the devs mentioned in one of their recent pit pass reports that Suzuka alone will have 3 alternative routes.

Full F1
Moto GP
Short (like F355)

Of course each will also be reversible and each track in the game has been announced to have entirely different lighting and atmosphere.

Damn i cant wait to sup up some cars and add a nice paint job with custom tweaking at a good setup.

I've got to say that driving games aren't usually my cup of tea. I quite liked PGR3, but I thought Test Drive was crap.

I am really looking forward to this though, for some reason :)

Has anyone downloaded the video off forza's website that was done by the 1up show they said the game didnt look great yet graphics wise but the physics and handling etc was very good , i am sure it will be exellent when released in all aspects and arent to worried .

I agree, it doesn't look brilliant graphically, it's not upto PGR3 standard for example, however it's an accomplished driving game, that should be superb.

Well i have just seen a couple of short vids of forza 2 and the game looks a lot better than in the 1up show vid :) cant wait for this game

Have a look here

Here is a video GameVideos.com posted of the RSX going around the track. It is similar to the Gamespot video but is just a replay.

Here is GameTrailers.com 's info/videos on the Forza 2 coverage. They have the video with the Enzo taking damage on Sebring.

I think, because they've gone to such detail with physics and modelling, they've inevitably had to tone down the graphical detail slightly. That doesn't bother me in the slightest, as it looks like they've simply improved the original, which ought to make it fantastic, but it's funny that people still seem to think "It's not a simulation cos it doesn't look real!"

Shame I don't have a 360, as I'd have Forza 2 on its launch if I did.

Have we got a direct feed HD video of this, because you cant tell the quality of the graphics till you see that really imo

The feel of the game will be more important anyway. Im not sure the sound of that enzo was as good as I hoped :/ TDU is the best Ive heard recently

If you listen/watch the 1up show/podcast they say that the games runs at a solid 60 fps and the pyhsics are running at 360 fps, they also say that they get all the pyshics working right and then work on the gfx. So they will probably working on the gfx side right up till they go gold and we won't see the final look till we see reviews.

I've never been temped to use a wheel with a game before but this game is making me want one, I really hope they release a wheel and game bundle at a good price.

Anyone really get into Forza 1 and put a lot of hours into it?
I loved it! I spent ages modifying my cars and having fun with the wide variety of set-ups. My favourite was a nutty Honda CRX (in metallic brown!) with 500bhp..totally unusable but superb to fight around a circuit :)

Yup hopefully :)

Really can't wait for this, now gotta convince the fiance that I really need to shell out on a steering wheel...
