Found an iPhone 4S

The network is 3, phoned them up and the phone isn't a contract, it's payg, so they don't have any record of the owner.

Is it locked? Can't you call someone in the contacts list?

Might need to re-read the 1st post  :p

As title says, found the phone lastnight while using the cash machine, it has no pass code lock, no contacts, pictures texts etc, has no apple ID.

Basically a brand new phone, I've rang my own number from the phone and it has a working connection, so what can I do to return it?

I don't have a day off until next Friday so can't get to an apple store either.

This may well be BS from a clueless customer service advisor at the network. If the owner topped up using switch/debit card/credit card then surely they'd have his/her details from that?

Well done you, this is actually one of the best things i have read in a while, somebody going out of their way to do the right thing for someone else. There is hope and good people out there.

Thank you.

Clov!s: A happy ending.

Good there are still some honest peeps around, a few on this forum would have kept it.:D

Good man :)

What did they say?

When i found the phone it had a gel case on with a corner ripped off, so when they rang the phone i asked if it had a case and they described it exactly like it was :) they lived local too, only a few minutes away from mine :)

I hope that owner thanks you, if he doesn't that just shows you shouldn't of even bothered in the first place.

The same thing happened to me but it was a Iphone4, It was 2 years ago so they were really expensive back then as they just came out. It took 2 days to track down the owner, we finally met up and he just said "thanks" then walked off. I've never been so raged in my life.
