1.6 Generic crap box. I had the previous 1.6 Astra as a hire car a couple of years ago and thought that was ridiculously lethargic, but I'm pretty sure the new one was slower. Probably no worse than Fords 1.6 generic crap box though.

I've driven, and still do drive the mk3 Astra if that counts.

The latest 1.6 i had booked in at 1810kg
