Hi all
so i just got my new system and it has skylake cpu clocked to 4.5Ghz
I have 16gig ddr4 3000mhz ram.
gtx 980ti hof 8pack edition gcard
acer 120hz 1080p screen
Now when i start running steam games and my fps just seems to be a bit rubbish
i can set my details to max settings with No V'sync and ill get fps up and around 230fps but then it just drops off to like 80fps and then goes back up?
anybody else experience issues with fps drops with steam games
and also this annoying kind of micro stuttering,
i have done a fresh driver install
and it is a brand new build so there is no other issues i believe with the system this is really kind of annoying i have disabled the steam cloud and done the usual steps but it still feels less smooth than my old gtx970?
any ideas guys ?

I will download it and let you all know...
Windows 10 64bit O/s btw...
And it seems to be mainly team fortress 2

That's bloody awful mate, are you sure it's the Firestrike you ran? I scored more than that with me GTX 970, now my bog standard reference 980 Ti gives over 16000 at stock settings.

If it's an issue with a particular game you'd be best asking on Steams forum for Team Fortress, I'm sure if there is an issue there will be threads about it there. And if not make one to get info. All running Firestrike will do is tell you if your PC runs as well as similar builds on Firestrike. Now you've mentioned it's an issue on one game in particular you need to look there for answers.

Add a link for the Firestrike result like so

I'm not sure how to check these things kaapstad..
where can I find this in my cpuz software ?
also my motherboard is showing an error code 40
asus z1zo deluxe board it says in the manuel system is waking up from the s4 sleep state?
could this be causing any issue?

If you look in the bottom right corner where it says Cores and Threads, if you have hyperthreading on yours should say 4 Cores and 8 Threads.

On the memory tab of CPUZ

The one to look at is DRAM Frequency

You need to multiply the figure x 2 to get the true memory speed so for the pic above it will be 1599.7 x 2 = 3199.4mhz.
