FPS Been done too much?

Im looking for a good new fps game, bf4 looks the bloody same as 3 and cod got boring a long time ago and ghosts looks pap. There seems to be no big new fps's coming our way unless i've missed somthing? What new stuff are you guys looking at?

Crysis 3?

FPS been done too much? Maybe, but its probably one of or the most popular genre of game, they have always been my favourite too after growing up with Hired Guns, Wolfenstein, Doom and Quake etc

Counter-Strike:GO is quite good, and a low price, if you haven't played it before. You can also get 1.6, CZ, Source and GO for £16.99 on steam.

I can't get into FPS games anymore, I tend to stick to RPG's now new and old. Although I do play Arma lots and lots but that is about it for me.

I want to play games like Half Life, Quake, Doom, FEAR,... I much prefer scifi shooters to modern warfare titles.

All the modernwarfare/battlefield titles bore me now, it's been done to death I think. I still enjoy the likes of bioshock and borderlands though. I actually crave another WW2 shooter, where have they all gone?

Planetside 2 is the only one I've been able to get into, I think it's just the number of co-op players on your side though which make the game more fun.

What about Mirrors Edge? Still sort of a FPS but very different (and enjoyable).

Only FPS game I really enjoy now days is Borderlands 2. I don't bother with BF/CoD anymore.

They need to make a new tactical FPS, like raven shield. 1 hit gimp, 2nd kill or headshot insta kill.
I actually utilized smokes, nades, gas, gas mask, motion detectors in that game. Only FPS game where utility worked so well.

RvS was the best game I can remember.

Most of my late teenage years were lost to that game - I regret nothing!

You should check out Ground Branch looks like a spiritual successor to RS, it was on kickstarter but did not get the backing but apparently the game is still coming.

Except for Rising Storm... if youre looking for another BF3/CoD clone I suppose youll have to wait for the next BF or CoD game. But really, you could go anywhere from Day of Defeat for the low end fast and frantic to Planetside for the team game to Rising Storm for the fidelity aspect. Theres a lot out there - sci fi mmo defiance? although thats more third person.
