Hey guys

What good games are there for the android?

I want a game like Rage HD on the iphone.

NOVA is pretty decent, not sure if you can grab it off the market though, I bought it direct from Gameloft.
You can get Quake 3 as well, but I've not tried it.

You'll need a 1ghz phone for those though, SGS or DHD ideally.

The main ones are Quake/NOVA.

We're just starting to see Unreal based games hit the market (dungeon defenders) and Infinity Blade/Rage will be added soon.

Looks like nVidia are starting to push devs to port over PC/PS3 games. With the SE gaming phone, it's going to be great year for Android gaming!

It's all about the gpu. (i.e. you could clock a SGS at 500MHz without loosing any fps on most games and the 1GHz 1st gen snapdragon is starting to struggle with newer games)
Currently the ULP GeForce and SGX540 are king, with Adreno 205/SGX53x (45nm) good enough to play most current games.

Desire HD will run NOVA perfectly, pop gameloft.com into your mobile browser and it will take you to their online shop, their apps aren't on the market. Oh and I forgot Gameloft also do Brothers in Arms and Modern Combat Sandstorm. They are pretty much the only worthwhile FPSs on Android.
