FPS games sometimes make me feel sicky

well I have 2 x 27" dell 60hz panels, which I don't plan to upgrade any time soon. FOV and blur options I will take a look at though tonight, when I'm home from work.

Motion blur does this for me, in Star Citizen hangar module if it's on, fortunately it's easy enough to disable then everything is fine once more!

I don't think I suffer from motion blur. However, recently I purchased the first Doom games and after a while it started giving me a headache. The screen was just moving so fast.

it usually takes about 30 mins after turning the game off to feel 'normal' again

Count yourself lucky, I can play Half Life 2 for around 30mins and then feel like I'm gonna throw up for the next 4 hours! Totally not worth.

As people have said, it's caused by motion sickness, often related to low field of view.

Try the following to reduce symptoms:
- sit further away from screen
- make field of view larger if possible (google search for each game causing problems, there are often ways to adjust the FoV in random text files somewhere)
- reduce the "turn speed"

Slower games like Halo / Crysis don't give me any issues at all, but fast FPS games with low field of view are a no-go.
