fps in bf4 on a r280x/290x

Ive found shanghai to be a more demanding map than paracel, dropped to the high 50's with sli 670's. High 40's with the 780. Ultra, x4 msaa @1920x1200. Need to bang in another 780 soon.

can I divert slightly guys and ask do you all use 75hz or 144hz monitors as looking at the average frame rates of 70-80fps will you see any difference

a 120hz screen will be more smooth than a 75hz one either the fps is 70 or 80.
if one notice those I cant say as its individual.
its a huge difference between 60 and 120hz for sure.
a 290 pro version is a good price vs a 280x and holds the best value vs a 290x.

it depends what fps and settings you want.
I can max out for example diablo 3 at 5040x1050 with my set up.
BF4 I have set my framerate at 115fps which it holds most of the time with all low settings same resolution. if I want to max out bf4 I need to go crossfire but I dont want the heat nor the price.

90 - 115fps on a ref sapphire 290pro here with the ultra setting at 1080p. Its got a mild overclock of 1070/1300, stock power settings. It does dip no and them like others have mentioned, but not to the extent that its ever felt screen laggy.

lmao I was waiting for this.

well when people say im running full ultra at 120 fps you know that its bs. minimums very important. on maps like parcel i guarantee you any cards will drop close or under 60 fps so its hardly 115 or above. by making such sweeping comments someone might go and lay a grand out on cards only to find that they drop to below 60 id be more than slightly peed off.

now not saying the guy was making this mistake on purpose but when you list fps list minimums, max and avg and you'll see in some cases its a very very big deal ;).
