Hello Abit brother, Awesome board. Can't seem to part with mine because of the wicked fan control.
Back on topic :/
Yeah the cpu fan controller is awsome, as all the other boards Ive come across in the past has such poor cpu fan controllers, as their not customisable in anyway... But saying that the abit IP35 pro is a awsome board full stop.
As you can see, Ive set the cpu fan at 40% when its 34c or lower, and then it slowly increases to 90% as it reaches 58c....... When I first got the board it took me a bit to figger it out![]()
I got more fps on the crysis bench with 8 than 4 aa
I thought it was common knowledge there was an 8xAA bug in Crysis?
I was aware of it way back, when benching Crysis was fun. I think it reverts to the equivalent of 2xAA or none at all.
I get this too in Crysis and couple of other games (not all games though), with a 5870 and also a 4890/4870 before that.
I think it's something to do with ATI's implementation of 8xAA, some sort of optimisation that results in little or no performance loss over 4xAA and sometimes a slight performance improvement.
Initially I thought that AA wasn't working at 8xAA, but comparing screenshots it's definitely working and looks visibly better than 4xAA, despite the performance increase.
I'm sure theres some articles on this if you look around.
