Ideally, with controller support.

I'm looking for a decent single player game that's focused around story more than anything. I love Bioshock, my favorite FPS story of all time, completed all 3 of them.

It's only dawned on me after I couldn't find a decent FPS to play haha.

Something cheesy will do :D Something easy and fun.

Struggling to think of something cheesy and fun but is also centred around story. Maybe Serious Sam? Borderlands? Not the best games storyline wise but enjoyable all the same.

Well, story isn't really needed. Just something fun really.

What about the CoD's? I enjoyed MW, thought that sniper level was brilliant. I hate playing online on CoD MW though, full of screaming kids and adults.

The problem with the Cod's is their prices are still extortionate, and the SP will only take you 3-6 hours depending on whether you play on normal or veteran.

Look through this list :)

ever played Half Life? Far Cry 1? Fallout 3 and New Vegas? Dishonored?

although you can use a controller (newer releases will have controller support out of the box, older FPS you may need to manually configure or download a profile), they are designed for keyboard/mouse; at least that is how I play them.

FPS aren't usually the most story driven games, since most are designed for team deathmatch.

if you are into story, you may want to consider Mass Effect series. it is TPS but very good story. RPG is another genre that have better stories than FPS, ie Witcher, Elder Scrolls, etc... (later versions have an FPS pov but better played in TPS imo)

Just finished Metro Last Light, would really recommend it. Good story. 2033 is good too if you haven't played that.

Also Far Cry 3 for a top notch shooter.

Both of these are good with controller.

Dishonored reminded me quite a bit of Bioshock and I thoroughly enjoyed both. If you've not yet played it yet I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Thanks for the input guys! Whilst almost every game mentioned has been one I've played, here is some feedback.

Bioshock 3 - It was better than 2, not as good as 1, they tried too hard to make the story complicated to get the twist the first had. The first was a simple, HUGE twist. 3 was just OTT. Plus, the lack of plasmids reduced the combat fun for me a little :( What's not to like freezing on splicer, setting the other on fire only to jump into a pool of water. While smashing his buddy to tiny bits then turning back to the freshly watered splicer and zapping him with electricity... Combat gold.

Far Cry 3 - Loved it, however I got bored about 1/3 of the way through, it was very repetitive... I found it was anyway.

Bulletstorm - Completed on the 360, awesome game haha.

F.E.A.R - I don't do so well with scary games.

Shadow Warrior - No idea! Will look into this.

Serious Sam - Never played a SS, I picked one up in a recent humble bundle

Borderlands 2 - Got to about 1/2 way through and just lost interest... Not sure why.

Crysis 3 - Played the first parts of it, annoyed me I couldn't play it maxed out so didn't bother playing haha.

The Walking Dead - Bored me very quickly.

Dishonored - Great game, for some reason I was pulled away from it (another game maybe?), tried to come back to it and just can't seem to enjoy it.

Metro Last Light - Played a few hours, enjoyed, never went back to it.

Darkness II - Almost complete this on the 360.

So yea! I think I need to give a couple of those a second chance.
