FPSs with the wii remote?

I played COD3 on the WII, what a shockingly horrible way to control a gun.

Apparently a lot of the issues have been fixed with MP3( reviews suggest it), it's upto the other devs to learn from it. Can't really see a suit being made but using the wii balance board would be cool I reckon.

...but using the Wiimote in FPSs is indeed a shockingly horrible experience. It seemed like a really good concept too!

Is this the same Resident Evil 4 that recieved rave reviews for it's Wii version, and prior to that was recently classed as the 2nd best game of all time? .

I thought RE4 was a really good game and was made all the better because of the Wii controller. If only the graphics had been Xbox 360/PS3 quality!

I think it might be a lot to do with your TV too. I have a big ass TV so it might just be more clumsy to use the wiimote with?

I havent tried one yeat due to apparent control issues-from what I have heard COD3 is the best so far, but it had no multiplayer, and I have already played RE4 to death on the Cube. I cant wait for MP3 though!

I think RE4 and Metriod Prime 3 control really well with the Wiimote in fact I don’t think I could go back to the old control system for RE4.

I use a 40" TV and sit 5 feet away with no issues.

I played Red Steel and thought the controls were great. Shame it looked and played a bit dodgy.

I bought Res4 on Wii and thought it played awful.
The fact that the camera doesnt move with the aiming is a big downer imo.
I much prefer the GC version, unfortunatelly, i cant play it anymore as its NTSC. .

well i got a huge selection of wii games FPS being my favourite type,
bought call of duty 3, played it once - controls were terrible sold it 2 days later
bought medal of honour, controls were much better jsut how call of duty 3 should have been - played it non stop till i completed it, which took all of 3 days - now sat on the shelf gatheringdust.
bought res evil and was well impressed - controls was spot on especially loading the guns cant wait for umbrella to be released.
got metroid, controls are good but not overly impressed by the game - maybe just not my thing
my current fav has to be scarface though - controls get a bit of getting used to but Tony Montana rules

I have RE4:Wii and think the copntrol is superb. I Indeed, I think it is probably better than keyboard and mouse!!
