Fractal Design Cases

Anyone else see a shedload of similarity between that and a P180 mini.

Main differences are: no PSU compartment, can have front fans and the HDD bays at the same time, can take ATX, one less 5.25" bay, optional side vent.

I'd have liked having the HDD bays and the fans on my mini. There's a choice of 5 HDD bays OR two 120mm front fans instead. Real shame when the space seems to show both were possible.

Not a p180 mini no, this case looks very well thought out for a workstation.

Almost perfect for a near silent pc.

I wonder how can anyone compare this to Antec... Maybe Lian Li PC-B10 design/PC-B25 interior mixup, but absolutely not comparable to Antec Mini P180. The only thing this case have common with Mini is the that it has door with vents on sides and it is a computer case. R2 is a full ATX, not divided in compartments, better fan solution (no, i don't consider a 22cm top fan in Mini as a good idea)...

Once again - what does this case have anything common with P180 mini ?
Common things :
  • It has a door (like many cases)
  • It is a computer case (like many cases :) )
  • It has a PSU on bottom (like many cases)
  • It has intake fan(s) on front (like many cases)
  • It have top and back outtake vent (like many cases)

Where it totally differs from Antec P180 Mini :
  • it is ATX (P180 mini is mATX)
  • Power buttons not behind the door
  • No compartments
  • Totally different internal layout
  • Very different external design (taking into account that it is a grey computer case with door).
  • More logical top fan size choice.

So yes, i can't understand how can anyone compare 2 very different cases and ask about "shedload of similarity" between them. There is very small similarity between those two.

Looks like they'd rather sell low RPM fans for silence than higher RPM fans which can be undervolted.

At least it guarantees the customer they'll be quiet without fiddling.
