Fractal Design not the quality feel I was expecting?

I doubt Fractal used different quality materials between R3 and XL though, that's the thing. If you've not had a LIan-Li or something and bought the Fractal it would seem great but once you've had a premium case like this the differences are immediate!

That's exactly it. I don't consider Fractal XL to be a Premium build. It's not a Lian Li, Silverstone, etc with an aluminnium finish. It's meant to be a silent case with really heavy noise absorbing materialed (if that's a word) panels.

The define R3 has got really good reviews.

Yea I agree with this. My CM-690 II Adv. is a great case and I think the quality is great, but doesnt touch the Lian Li for quality. Probably why I still have my Lian Li lol.

I must be one of the lucky ones, not had a single issue with my XL. Coming from a Lian-Li case, I wanted something bigger and heavier and the XL does both quiet happily.

I will say that cooling, IMO, isn't great due to all the dust filters.

always knew quality would be an issue with fractal - you get what you pay for. and for under £100 FULL TOWER u get lots of horrible plastic... i have a lian li v1100 atm, too.

even not sure about corsair 650d - worried its too much plastic for my liking (too much is more than 0)

i would get another lian li but the good cases by them lack cable management! the new ones with cable management looks like it has **** cooling, why cant we just get best of both... :D
