Agreed, a chair is a long-term investment that you will use daily, it is important to be able to test it, and as @mattpj stated that price puts the FD Refine in Herman Miller and Steelcase territory and I would go with the latter in that case.Trouble is, where can you test it? I think that's pretty critical.
I went to John Lewis recently to test a bunch of different chairs, and didn't really like any of them, even the expensive and well-rated Herman Millers.

From the Fractal website there is one of the retailers that is actually selling these, can't mention the name.
Mine arrived today, black / dark fabric, very easy to setup, coming from Noble Epic the Fractal is far better
