Fracture demo

I found it quite interesting really. Worth the download I say. Will this be coming out on PC?
 
i downloaded it on the xbox 360 earlier on, its an interesting concept but i didnt play it long enough to see if i liked it or not ;)

its worth checking out though!
 
Just finished the demo on PS3 and here is what I thought of it.

It's an interesting concept and they have pulled it off quite well, ignoring the story which is of course terrible like all games like this! It's trying to be like a GoW style game only with movable terrain basically and while they have the terrain thing going quite well the actual gunfights are not that great. The AI is retarded and the combat is clunky. The sound effects don't really help much either. It is fun though, especially when you create your own cover by shaping the terrain.

The controls are generic, not really standing out as being great but are not bad either. The graphics are average, though it needs some antialasing and some of the textures are pretty bad.

It's a fun game to play though it lacks the finesse of a higher budget title, though that is to be expected. In terms of production values it reminds me of the movie Starship Troopers. You can tell it's not really meant to be taken really seriously, but it's still a good old blast with some interesting features. In conclusion then, it's no AAA game but then it's not supposed to be and no one ever expected it to be. It does deserve a play so I'll be renting this one when it comes out.
 
I thought this was well good. Although, in the tutorial it tells you to throw a grenade into a window and when you do all the walls fly off, then I tried throwing another one at another bit of the wall and it had no effect.
 
I liked the idea and it played quite well, graphics are not that special but not bad, AI is bad as usual (one enemy did not see me when I was close enough to grab him)

Definately worth playing rented or 2nd hand
 
Absolute tripe- the graphics are uninspired, the ai poor, the guns particularly average. Also the animation was a bit naff and being able to make the floor bubble up is hardly the greatest innovation ever!

Are everyone's standards getting lower or something nowadays? :eek:
 
Just download this off the marketplace, pretty good game IMO. Would be better if it had a 3rd person cover system. (Every 3rd person shooter after GOW needs that now :p)

Couldn't imagine the multiplayer being too good if they let you use the entrenching tool in it.

Played it for a while and found it to be very average.

I found the frame rate very low, graphics pretty standard and gameplay dull and nothing special. Just nothing to keep me playing...
