Frame Rating: AMD plans driver release to address frame pacing for July 31st

Haha check the twitter comments, appears nvidia are getting a little revenge on Roy :p

Pft, to me they seem unnecessary and almost childish.

That said, AMD is throwing down the gauntlet by finally committing to a date. The internet has been awash for months and years with anecdotes about driver fixes to microstutter being 'just around the corner,' but this is the first time we have something truly official coming up. How good a job AMD does in this department could determine much.

I personally sold my second 7970 months ago as I was never satisfied with the result (yes, even with the so-called RP 'fix'). Although part of me will feel frustrated if AMD now comes out with a magic fix, another, less selfish part of me will celebrate, because it will reinject some much-needed competition into the multi-GPU market

Blargh, rubbish. They ain't said anything bad at all. A bit of banter makes things interesting in my opinion.

If AMD can get this right then the option to choose between more latency/less latency etc will be a really nice feature.

:( as a 7990 user I was waiting for the June release :(

But rather have something that works than some bodge job like the recent nVidia fiasco
