Hi all.

Just bought some spangly new artwork :D. It's canvas rather than paper based, so rather than frame it I'd like to mount it on a small wooden type frame. Nothing big, just something small that will keep the canvas' shape and make it easy to hang.

Is this something easy to do yourself or is it fairly cheap to get it done professionally?

It's only 20x24" so it only needs a little frame.

Cheers!

Call a local framer, it's usually pretty cheap although you can have a go yourself. Sometimes it can cost more to buy the materials than to get a pro to do it.

Having mounted a few canvases, get someone else to do it, it's a pain in the arse. :D You feel like you need a couple of extra arms, making it fold all nice and neat is a bit awkward too.

Besides it'll only cost you a few quid if you ask a framer nicely.

Heres how you do about it.

Thanks for your help. How much should this cost roughly? Le_Petit_Lapin you said a few quid, I take it you dont mean literally £3-4?!

I'm not looking for top notch quality, just something small that will hold it in place?
