What do you guys think of frankie boyle?

i think hes actually quite funny but steps over the mark sometimes. But in all fairness what happened to people taking things a pinch a salt and being able to laugh at themselves??

I agree that he does overstep the mark sometimes, but as you said, why can't we laugh at it? But I do feel that a lot of the things he says, he wants to be controversial. I find most of his material hilarious though :)

Frankie Boyle is fantastic, but I have to say from only seeing the first episode of Tramadol nights it was crap.

He suits panel shows more.

My manager from work bought me his new(est) DVD as a Christmas present
and I thought there was some really funny parts.
I also thought that some of it was lazy, like he couldn't be bothered to
come up with any decent material so just resorted to trying to be
controversial and shock the audience rather than make them laugh.

The problem with Frankie Boyle's comedy is it's based on controversy and grossing people out. It's funny when the material is new to an audience but where do you go from there? The only way is down.

Boring just like south park funny and novelty for first season or two after that wears out, lack of new content and pretty pants.

I think he said it himself at the start of the latest DVD...i'm paraphrasing but something along the lines of a tasteless joke followed by..."it's my last tour and I don't give a **** anymore"

I watched it last night and there were moments where I was laughing, then thinking I shouldn't be afterwards. However it's comedy, there is no malice or ill will intended...apart from the Danny Dyer comments maybe :D

I'm not the biggest fan, nothing to do with how offensive he is though. I think he can be brilliant on panel shows, but think he tries more to be offensive than funny with some of his stand up and by the sound of it tramadol nights.

Steve Hughes has a bit about being offended generally, and questions why we teach children sticks and stones will break their bones but words will never hurt them, then get offended ourselves.

Used to be a big fan when he was on Mock the Week. After he quit i went to see him live and thought it was pretty poor. I would even say the warm up act prior to him was better.

Steve Hughes is epic, Hardly ever see him on things over here though :(

That was when he commented on Jordan and Harvey, Personally it's freedom of speach, I don't care what he comes out with as long as it's no on the BBC, Thats one thing I really like about Channel 4 is they're willing to take risks and people who watch Channel 4 know the content.

Would hate to see Frankie go or even get sacked like Russell brand.
