Hi Folks,

I have recently bought a fraps license and have been testing it out recording demos of UT3. The video is fine but it doesn't have any sound. I've tried everything to get it to work but have got stuck. I am using the onboard sound from my motherboard, I have ticked record sound and it is on "detectbest sound input". Is there anything else I need to do?

Thanks

Matt

try the "use windows input" ?
Should imagine that would be best for onboard.

What Sound device appears under sound device?

I had to load up "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties" from Control Panel. Click "Advance" button on the first tab under "Device Volume".

Can't remember what additional ports I needed to add, but one was set to zero. Currently have:
Master Volume, Wave, SW Synth, CD Player, Front, Mic Volume, Line Volume, Aux Volume.

Enable ports so got the same, and see if any are muted or set to zero. Don't increase volume to max, as the sound will be distorted.

Also in FRAPS under Movies tab is lists my onboard sound: Realtek HD Audio Input, so also check volume of record on audio tab while checking other volume controls.

Hope that helps.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but i managed to get my copy of Fraps, but when i record videos. Again no sound.

I've tried everything and nothing is working. Any ideas or update?

I've always had the same problem with fraps. for me its because of the inbuilt sound from my mobo. fraps just doesn't like SoundMAX HD. i managed to get it working once but that was by having the sound outputted to my amp and then looping it back in.
