Fraud???

A couple of weeks ago I went to a nightclub where everyone was getting 'I.D'd' I didnt have any and they wanted to see either drivers licence or student card. I had neither and wanting to get in. After a few beers I thought it a good idea to borrow my (mixed race) housemates ID to get in. (im white)

They looked at it, then me and said 'your not black' and said they are keeping it. We were told by the meathead who took it that it could be picked up tomorrow or whenever.

I went in a couple of days later to try and get it back and got told that my mate whos id it was could only come and get it. When he went to pick it up he was told that its been sent to the police station because it was involved in a fraud incident. Now either my mates lieing because he wants me to give him £10 for another one (just £10) or the world has gone mad. Its not like I tried to buy a car with his gold card is it!

You presented a false identification when asked. That's got nothing to do with the world going mad or anything else. So it was only a nightclub, but still the same rules apply. If you are lawfully required to produce identification and you produce someone else's, then you are (I believe) breaking the law by doing so.

Of course, it could still be a wind-up.

Looks like the club did the right thing, in their eyes it very well could have been a stolen ID.

Your're right about him breaking the law, but do they have the right to confiscate the driving license?

Now on the more serious side of things, dboundy, why should he be shot? What?, are you just jealous because he makes more than you and you parents combined? Aint no justification for your statement. I am black and i dont have a problem with him. He is good at what he does, im sick of this useless UK traits always bashing their own kind.

I'm sorry but do you even know how much I earn and what my parents earn?

And even if we do earn less then he does (we do) what the hell has that got to do with anything?

That man (IMO of course, jeez, take a chill pill El) is a ****, acts like he's all that and is just a big headed egotisical waste of space.

Fair enough he might have done a few things and I congratulate him on that but it still doesn't stop me from disliking the image that he gives off.

Ok so maybe he shouldn't be shot but its not like I actually meant it like that, its a figure of speech and if you couldn't see that then god help you.
