Freaking out!!!

I had this exact same scare over the Xmas period. Totally ruined my Christmas.

I had a two week wait before spending a couple of hours at the hospital for xrays, ultra sound, and a camera shoved up my japs eye for a look in my bladder. Was very uncomfortable and scary but worth it for peace of mind as I was given the all clear.

Antibiotics were prescribed and I've not seen any more blood. It happened after I had been out running so I'm wondering if it was a blood vessel burst or something.

It's worrying I know, but most likely nothing life threatening. Hope all is OK for you Castiel.

It's just so weird. I have had life threatening situations before, critical ones but they were all immediate. It's the unknown and waiting that is killing me. Anyway I'm going to go for a drive to see if that can distract me a bit.

Driving is the worst thing you can do if your mind isn't 'on task'

Just go for a walk, it will be safer for you and everyone else.

Definitely this!

I just lost myself in Elite Dangerous for a while.

I agree though, it is the waiting and not knowing that is the killer. But try not to worry until you have a reason to. It is most likely nothing.

It's when your willy falls off that you really need to be worried mate.

I've heard beetroot does that too.

I'm a natural born worrier - anything wrong with me I always fear the worst and always go looking on the internet - which of course is just full of doom - I just never seem to learn.

I'm sure everything will be ok Castiel and you'll wonder in a few days why you were freaking out over it all.

Move your mind away from this negativity - it doesn't change anything stressing about stuff - on the contrary it just makes it worse! :)

I truly hope you are right. I am beginning to calm down and adopt a 'cross each bridge when it arrives' mindset.

I've been wiping blood out of my crack and felt like i'm coming down with the Flu for about 8 weeks, as well as other strange digestive issues.

Probably cancer but I aint bothered. I'm insured up to my eyeballs and it's one way to pay off the mortgage. LOL

Go to a different GP, convince them to send you for a full MOT. They will eventually do it if you argue the case. You might have to wait 3 weeks, but it's worth it for peace of mind.

You really need to get that seen to, insurance or not.

I'm in the hospital for test on Tuesday

A doctor friend of mine has just called me to tell me that my symptoms are indicative of an infection, just because it doesn't show on a urine test doesn't necessarily mean too much as many bacteria don't culture in the lab. She said that bladder cancer is uncommon and the blood loss would not have responded to antibiotics. She also said that the tests are just being thorough and it is unlikely to be cancer, more likely an undiagnosed infection or perhaps a kidney stone.

Here's hoping.

Is your urine cloudy? As this is very indicative of infection.

If you are under 50 and a non smoker it is very unlikely to be cancer, between 5 and 10 percent chance.

You're doing the right thing getting it checked out though. Can never be too careful with these things and worth it for peace of mind alone.

The camera up your japs eye is not fun though :(
