Freaking out!!!

I've been wiping blood out of my crack and felt like i'm coming down with the Flu for about 8 weeks, as well as other strange digestive issues.

Probably cancer but I aint bothered. I'm insured up to my eyeballs and it's one way to pay off the mortgage. LOL

.

I suffered with similar symptoms for nealry 3 yrs. Steadily getting worse to the point of leakage.

Had a few tests and 3 days of stong steroids and symptoms cleared up.

Turns out to be Ulcerative Colitis. So am on medication for life. But I A: still have a life B: I have my life back.

Having 3 sec notice before ****ing yourself is no fun.

My nan had bowel cancer at the same time i was diagnosed. She's recovered much quicker than I have. Which is great news for Cancer patients. Were finally starting to beat it.

Go to the DR's

Go to a different GP, convince them to send you for a full MOT. They will eventually do it if you argue the case. You might have to wait 3 weeks, but it's worth it for peace of mind.

Is it nice red blood if so then probably not cancer, that's what my doctor told me. Mine turned out to be ulcerative colitis (or proctitis to be more exact) and easily controlled with tablets. I put up with it for ages before I went to the doctor, I should have gone sooner.

Tests are tomorrow. I am absolutely bricking it. Although I have no more pain, blood or need to urinate more than normal, I do sometimes feel a 'fullness' in my abdomen when I lie or sit down, and sometimes a dull ache in my scrotum. I dunno if this is meaningful or not, I am suffering from pretty bad anxiety at the moment and appetite has disappeared.

I just hope it's something easily treated and not the C.

Good luck. If it is any consolation I survived testicular cancer. We are making strides every day and all types are becoming more treatable. But the chances of it being any type of cancer whether testicular, abdominal or whatever are very, very remote indeed.

You will be fine. Good luck :)

Tests come back. It's nothing to worry about Mr. Castiel, you've simply started your periods.

It's the NHS. Seems this is now standard procedure in cases of haematuria when no obvious infection is found and in all cases where it is a male and the blood is visible, whether they suspect cancer or not.

That's pretty impressive, seeing that the initial call was made only a few days ago and tomorrow you'll have a definite answer.. As good as USA private healthcare speeds there !

One thing that I take into consideration about the UK's health system (now I'm getting older and am expecting to have age related illnesses) is being made to wait.. The anxiety can be very damaging in itself. (as I'm sure you'll attest too ! ) I'm quite impressed with how quickly you've been addressed.

I do live in an affluent, largely rural area though. It may be different where hospitals are in large urban areas or have less local support.

You're lucky to get seen so quickly. I was waiting nearly two weeks for my appointment. I guess mine was over Xmas though, so that probably delayed things.

Good luck for today, I'm sure you'll be OK though.

Apparently the doctor at A&E last Sunday put in the request while I was still at the hospital. It's normal procedure so I'm told. So it's been around 9 days. I am scared to say the least.

Ok so I had the ultrasound first which didn't show anything. The cytoscopy showed an inflamed bladder, the doctor thinks it might be because of infection. And perhaps the cytoscopy was done too soon. However I now have to have a CT Scan and they took a urine sample for cytology. I also had a blood test for kidney function. I also have to have another cytoscopy in 4 weeks time.

He couldn't see any cancer in my bladder. Hopefully it stays that way.
