Freaking out!!!

So I'm back in the hospital at 1pm for them to repeat the ureterscopy into my right kidney. I'm pretty stressed and despite all the good results still very worried. To make it worse, my wife started a new job yesterday so it would have been unfair to get her to go with me and I never deal very well without my wife because I such a wuss. My sister is coming with me instead though. I hope everything is ok and this is the end of a three month ordeal.

Wish me luck, I need as much good vibes as I can get.

I hope you are right. I just hope I get some definitive answers this time and not more waiting. Also get this stent out of me as my quality of life is in the toilet right now because of it

I don't envy you, even though I don't think you've anything to worry about, I know it's easier said than done. Best of luck to you.

So I am now home.

The consultant before the OP said that he had reviewed the scans again (I presume with others in an MDT) and he didn't expect to find anything at all. Anyway my ureter was normal, my kidney was normal and there was no tumour or growth found at all.

I have been given the all clear as far as he is concerned and have been discharged from his care.

As far as the red patches are concerned, he didn't know what they were, they are definitely not cancerous or atypical so he thinks they are caused by a virus or maybe something in my (undisclosed) history. I assume he meant my military records.

LOL! Priceless. I knew it was only a matter of time until you casually referenced your 'secret' (read: keep mentioning it) military career!

So anyway I guess you're not 'Freaking out!!!' any more?

Go away. I intentionally don't mention it because of people like you. If you have nothing good to say in such threads, just don't say anything at all. Its undisclosed because he didn't have the records of all the jabs etc that people get. Nothing to do with secrets or anything.

You intentionally don't mention it? Except you did?

This is an open thread. I can post what I like within the rules. What rules have I broken? Not fawning over you?

I apologise!

I'm not getting into an argument with you, I rarely mention it any-more in any thread or get involved in topics where it could be mentioned, as it just either gets silly responses or people like craterloads calling me a baby killer or I end up trying to justify stuff I needn't. You can say whatever you want, you are right, but sometimes a little tact and compassion for people in threads like this, even if you don't like someone doesn't hurt.

The thing is, it seems impossible for him to talk about it without the immediate presumption that he's gloating. I imagine that leads to some reluctance to bring it up because you will obviously jump on it right away. He doesn't mention it that often and I don't think it's right that he should refrain from doing so when it's relevant.

Personally I think his military career is something to be proud and if you have a problem with the mere mention of it then that's your issue. I think I speak for most when I say you should find a way to deal with it in silence because nobody gives a damn what you have to say about it, especially in this thread.

I agree, so why he makes shady semi-references is beyond me. My dad was in the army and very proud of it I am too.

Not quite true, I give a damn. You and the 'most' you're apparently speaking for, aren't massively high up my list of worries unfortunately!
