Free delivery?

I remember they did a free postage day - which was cancelled after a couple of hours.

The reason why it was canclled is that there was no take up. Now, logically speaking, if there was no take up then you'd leave it running a little longer. I think it was because there was a mass of take up and that they may end up loosing some cash on stuff.

Personally I do shop elsewhere as the prices and shipping are lower in other places. Free postage though would get me to order more stuff from OCUK more often.

i dont care about free delivery, just give us people in northern ireland a lower charge in delivery.

£13 for RMSD or £15 city link is stupid for orders consisting of 1 item when the postage is half the price of the item itself!

To be honest, I think the service that Overclockers offer is a very good one.

I'm from N.Ireland so I most likely pay an even higher premium for delivery but the items are always here as quickly as they could be and usually a day earlier than I specify when ordering - which makes a nice change.

As Cupra said, some things are worth paying for.

Postage is never free. It just goes on the price. Although I've got to say things do seem to be getting cheaper compared to ocuk.

I had to pay £80 postage from here just before xmas for 3 cases, 1 monitor and enough components to build 2 PCs! Was not impressed!

No, a lot of places absorb the cost (or at least some of it) rather than add it on to the price, knowing that they'll shift more gear due to the free postage offer to make up for it.

Compare some prices with some retailers offering free postage.

They are still cheaper in some cases than OcUK !

+3635458'th and all that.

They lost out on just under a grands worth of my money over the last 5 months because of no deals if spending over a certain amount.

Would love to give ocuk my money as well.

Shame!!!!

I just drive to OcUK, it's only 10 minutes away :D

i realise my post isn't very useful

It's actually the best post I've read so far :D. Cupra and Slogan's posts were decent too.

What I've got to say is wow, a few quid and everyone grudges it . I will buy elsewhere if it's cheaper but I haven't had to in a long time with OCUK. I find their prices and deliveries to be brilliant. Obviously you get the odd part that is cheaper elsewhere but when you pick out everything you want at this other retailer you end up with some parts that are dearer there and it works out to be about the same. I've done it many a time and 9/10 my money goes to OCUK.

Life is too short to be worrying over a few quid. Or even posting about it. :)

I must admit, no free delivery on orders of hundreds of pounds is really quite ridiculous and i admit to ordering things elsewhere simply because after postage was taken into consideration the price was cheaper.

While I +1 I do realise it isn't feasible.

All I would ask (which is fair enough imo) is another cheap royal mail postage option. For example I wanted to order some thermal paste yesterday but it was still £2.99 PnP for a 20gram (that's a guess) package.

In regards to packing quality. I can't say I've ever received an order that hasn't been packaged adequately.

The sad thing is, OcUK have good customer service (RMA and pre sales advice etc). However every time I come to order something and obviously compare different places the few quid here and there means OcUK end up being the most expensive out of "the big three". Which I would probably be right in saying is driving people elsewhere. Therefore I believe it would be nice if they could double the number of items on TWO. Because that usually brings it back in line if you happen to have an item you need on it, but obviously with the relatively small amount of stuff on there this is not always the case.

Cheers

Alec

free del is a good idea, this is also a reason i some times go else where when i just want to order 1 or 2 things. Free returns on faulty items is a good idea (if its heavy).

I recently placed a order on full system and the case was broke, i done RMA and explained that i needed the case quickly as i wanted to put it all together, on the 2nd day a new case came and picked up the faulty one for free.
