is there any way i can scan a page, then send it to a fax machine by email or whatever, for free?

have googled but found nothing concrete

its not free - but dont most corner shops / post offices do faxing - for cheap?

Kinda, if you have an old style modem, you can use the inbuilt fax capablilities of your PC to send it as a fax through it, otherwise your looking at 3rd party software/utilities.

Though I did just find this, http://www.tpc.int/faxbyemail.html which may suit your needs, but I've never tried it.
