I like Window XP's firewall, and my routers.

I am perfectly willing to admit that XP's is not the best but properly configured is much better than adequate.

Besides, NAT is one of the best methods for protecting your computer as it will dramatically reduce the attacks you receive.

I've used the free Sygate firewall for a long time now with no problems.

Still got to trial it yet, but there's Agnitum's Outpost Firewall.

If you like it, and consider the Pro version, there's a trail pay feature. You pick from a list of companies to buy a product or service from, and that company buys you a license. I'm considering Direct Line when insurance is due. But need to read the small print first.
