As others have said, windows firewall is all you need.

I don't really know! I was told many years ago don't use Window firewall! What one do you guys use?

XP firewall wasnt the best but 7 onwards is perfectly fine combined with your router firewall and its not OTT like some overzealous 3rd party apps.

As others have said, windows firewall is all you need.

I used to be like the OP. Was adamant that windows firewall was terrible, and installed third parties etc such as comodo.

I still have comodo installed on my win 7 machine. However on win 8 and soon to be win 10, I will be sticking to the win firewall. Microsoft have made a lot of progress in the last few years since win 7 launched, so really unless you need something with more features, the windows firewall is all you need.

What do you use now?

I use Windows Firewall now, never given me a problem.
