Hi all, I have 2 folders on my pc that I need to be able to sync both ways and instantly, I have been on google for a half hour and found tons of file sync software........but non that do it instantly, both ways.

I need to:

Folder A - has a file thats edited and saved.

Folder B - the INSTANT something is saved/changed in folder A, this is replicated in this folder.

THEN:

Folder B - has something changed in it

Folder A - this is replicated in folder A instantly...



I also need the software to just overwrite whatever happens in either folder, so its replicated in either folder without any issues...... basically either folder can be edited and its instantly replicated in the other folder.

All the sync stuff I have found all runs on scheduling and things like that, I don't want to do that im afraid ! I need instant sync.
 
Making a symbolic link won't actually copy the data to the other location - just make it appear to the file system as though the data is there. This will only be of use to the OP if both locations are on the same hard disk - otherwise if the second disk is ever moved, the data will no longer be accessible.

It sounds like you may need one of those instant backup applications, but I'm not sure of any that reflect changes in both directions.
