free .msg to .eml converter?

Hi

I have a load of old outlook (.MSG) emails that i want to convert to Windows live mail files (.EML) as i dont use outlook anymore.

Are there any freeware apps out there that will convert the files?

Should have done it before you removed outlook, you could have just imported your settings that way.

Most of the free converters require outlook to be installed anyway.

I can easy enough re-install outlook, but even with that i couldnt see a way to convert the files.

You open windows live mail, then go to File > Import > Messages > Microsoft Outlook.

the only options i have are for oe6, wlm and windows mail .. no outlook, its the latest beta of WLM, so that may be the problem

What version of Outlook are you using? A quick Google search would suggest that WLM can only import from 2003 and later. If a direct import isn't an option, try: Reinstall Outlook > Import Outlook messages into Windows Mail > Import Windows Mail messages into WLM.
