A couple of years ago, I suffered with some pretty bad seizures and was hospitalised for about 7 weeks. 6 of which, I was in a coma. I have been taking Anti-seizure medications for the last two years and been buying the 3 month pre-payment prescriptions certificates as I am still working full time.
I only found out last week that if you suffer from such, you get them free. I could have saved myself around £250. No-one told me about this at my Doctors or Hospital and I only found out with a Google search recently. I wont get any of it back, but they are refunding my last payment.
I suggest if you have a long term illness, that you check the eligibility and you too may be able to get them free. Speak to your Dr about getting the exemption certificate and getting them to sign it off for you.
