Free Portal + HL2:DM from Nvidia

Cool wanted to try portal but dont want to pay for it really even if the orange box is £17 i'd be bored with tf2 within a week.

In all of my Orange Box Games it still has the ATI logo in the Graphics options section, and you get free games with ATI cards. So sorry Nvidia fanboys, VALVe are still with ATI and always should be because ATI rocks ;)

If Valve are still with ATI then why do you only get a copy of "The Lost Coast" with certain 3870x2 cards you can buy and nVidia are giving away free copies of HL2 :DM and Portal to nVidia owners?

I thought all ati card owners got hl2:dm anyway? There was cerainly that offer a whlie ago

Ahh - I wondered where the massive influx of noobish players came from on HL2 DM :)

Quite good actually - the numbers had started to drop off over the past year, but the servers were pretty well full last weekend.

edit - note, though, that the first 12 levels of portal are nothing more than an introduction, and represent probably 1hr of gameplay for most people. The real 'meat' of the game comes from levels 13-19.

its not the full version of portal. Is it full version of hl2dm?

I think you'd have trouble creating a non-full version of HL2DM. There isn't that much actual content in the first place (which doesn't make it a bad game, for about 2.5 years I considered it the only game I would always come back to...)

Although I believe mods don't work with it.

Jeez.. wow lets see.

nVidia get:
Cut down version of Portal.
Old old HL2DM.

ATi get:
Full Portal,
Full Ep2,
Full TF2.

Wow jeez.. I wonder which one valve likes more!

VALVe like ATI more, the logo is still on the Orange Box games in the Options tab as i previously stated, ATI Catalyst tries to install Steam everytime i get a new driver, even though i have steam anyway, ATI get HL2DM, Lost Coast and another Full game cant remember though... Also most people get better FPS from ATI cards than Nvidia as there are more features in the games by VALVe that support ATI cards.
