Free Portal + HL2:DM from Nvidia

Valve may like ATI more but the players like nVidia. This is from the Valve hardware survey of 1,157,469 players (Nov 2007).

nVidia Cards: 62.35%
ATI Cards: 31.3%
Intel cards: 2.46%
Other Cards: 3.89%

I think you are all forgetting the ATI Black Box only came with new graphics cards, where as with this offer anyone with a Nvidia graphics card installed can take advantage.

I have just started playing HL2 DM and it is great!

Ati users get HL Lost Coast and HL2 DM free but they should get portal

ati-users should get the common sense to buy orange box and get HL2 DM for free

Also, portal only starts getting really good after about level 11, up to then, its more of a fun learning curve

Just found this the the TF2 Material GCF (Game Cache File):

It seems like Valve were going to include a "Best with ATI" logo in the game at some point, however the file is only a VMT (Valve Material Type) file which specified the meta data for a material, the actual material (a VTF file) that the VMT actually points to doesn't exist so it wasn't included with the game. This could be for many reasons though.
