Does anyone know of any decent software for capturing screen activity? I'm trying to set up a training guide which they can run like a movie file, showing which menu's and buttons to click on etc.

I've tried camstudio, and free screen recorder, but they aren't up to much cop. I'll be recording about 30 mins of screen activity or so.

Thanks

You could try buying a copy of the latest PCPro magazine, dated for Dec 2008. It comes with an application called "BB Flashback" which will record "on screen" activities. I've not tried it, but might be worth a look.

We bought a license for camtasia, it seems to handle long duration screen recordings fine, allows you to save the movie in multiple formats as well. Gets the job done.

Thanks Bledd!

Camstudio didn't cut the mustard for us (we're an impatient lot), just couldn't handle more than an hour or so of recordings was what we experienced - mileage differs i guess, but any how, solution found!
