Anyone know of a good, free, volume equalizer? It would be helpful if it was also capable of trimming MP3's too. Cheers.

I know that this post was created in 2007 but I want share my experience. So that if any member of this forum search for similar information, he can get some useful information from here. I have been using Equalizer for more than two years. I have tried different Equalizer software. Recently I have started using "EqualizerPRO". I have found this one really effective and useful. It has more than 20 preset settings. You can download from here

Nearly 10 years bump might be a record.
Anyway might as well chip in now - assuming it's for media library playback the ReplayGain feature in Foobar2000 works very well. There are many other implementations out there
