Free wifi booster to sky customers

Just seen this deal on hduk and thought I'd post it here for those that don't do on the site. Exciting sky customers can order a free wifi booster from the sky website (you might have to pay £2 for delivery)

Existing Sky customer and it's not letting me 'redeem this offer'. It takes me to my basket and current package but doesn't add it or let me checkout with anything different.

It might be because there is a line stating "If you already have Sky Broadband, you can claim your free booster from 27 December 2013" ...

Limited time only, you have to claim it before 30th January 2014 as well..

"Subject to availability by claiming online after broadband
activation (before 30.1.14). One per household."

So I guess they know how terrible their routers are, range wise, My Sagem router in the next room, thin walls, and i'm getting something like under 50% signal, its shocking.

Hmm, sky are suggesting i'll need the new hub, still its free so worth a gander I suppose.

You can get a Sky Black Hub on the 26th too, although these tie you in to the 12 month contract again. I'm going to grab them both... Mum hates the two white 'boxes' so a black one is win win.

Is this only if you have tv as well?
I only have phone and BB and cant see the option for a new router

I'm still using a DG834GT so would be interested in the black hub too. Nothing showing for me on that at the moment but it is available to buy at retail price, which I'm not keen on, especially if its going to be free in a few days.

Just be aware this probably uses WDS to bridge the existing connection, which will instantly halve the connection speeds if you're connecting through the repeater.
